Whereas Street Photography captures candid images of daily life, Street Portraits are ad-hoc posed photographs of strangers I encounter throughout my journeys. I enjoy the process of approaching a complete stranger (who often does not speak English) and ask their permission to make a portrait of them in their environment. Quite often the answer is "No" or a negative shake of their head with and upraised hand. The samples in this album represent those magical times when perfect strangers honor me with the opportunity to photograph them, capturing a glimpse into their life.
